ABOUT US
After gaining experience in some carpentry shops in Brescia and
Verona, the project’s promoter,
Umberto Dattola, decided to open his
own
workshop, characterized by passion for wood, natural finishes and
craftsmanship.
The new
carpentry shop soon became popular and
attracted several customers and professionals. Two years later, the
business was moved to some bigger premises in Ome, a small town located
among the hills of Franciacorta, where the beauty of the s
urrounding
nature is a constant source of inspiration.
Despite
growing bigger, our company did not lose its strong
human component,
which is passed on to our customers and to their living environment
through the furniture that we produce. We have always been striving to
create an
empathic relationship with our final clients, trying to
convey the personality, culture, feelings, and mood of the people
involved in the design and manufacturing of our furniture into the
furniture itself. Umberto is now the person in charge of all
Clab4design’s projects, thanks to the
skills acquired in the field of
woodwork and furnishing.
Over
time, the number of collaborators has increased. One of the first
persons to join the project was
Alessandro Bazoli, a graphic designer
who brought a clearer and better distributed view into the design and
the explanatory phases or our work (his motto "
less is more"
is often heard). Alessandro was also able to synthesize our natural
propensity to modernity and technology, using timeless instances
related both to individual well-being, and to the environment and
context. He introduced a reflection on the meaning of "
green economy" and "
glocal marketing".
Some
time later, the group was joined by the photographer and aesthete
Fabrizio Contu, who was struck by the images that we were able to
create. Fabrizio brought a
very personal view of details and a care for
communication made of profundity and enthusiasm. He is typically seen with a hand on his goatee, concentrated on the interpretation of an overview, or some particular detail.
Umberto,
Alessandro and Fabrizio first imagined, then created Clab4design, where
their creativity and aesthetic sense give birth to pieces of furniture
that are often unique in the way they are manufactured and always meet
their
human-compatibility criteria.
