human-compatible

We have decided to adopt the term “human-compatible” as a guideline for our work, since it synthesizes the different kinds of sensitivity involved in our project, Clab4design.

A human-compatible product must have the following characteristics:
 
- it must be a quality product, manufactured on a small scale, using local material and human resources;
 
- it must value the work of the people involved in its production, by letting them express their skills;
 
- it must be produced using eco-friendly methods and techniques, with a low impact on environmental balances;
 
- it must be made of healthy, non-toxic, non-allergenic materials and finishes;
 
- it must overcome the prejudice according to which eco-friendly products are bad-looking and /or too expensive ....... We love fine, beautiful furniture, made of materials that give something back to people and make their living environment unique and personalized;

 - it must help people stay away from sterile orthodoxies, keeping an open-minded, constructive attitude and linking their actions to the environment in which they operate;
 
- it must return a reasonable profit to the people involved in the project and to their families, providing them with the necessary tools and incentives to continue their work.
